061 Sheree-Ann Michelle
On today's episode I am thrilled to share an inspiring conversation I had with Sheree-Ann Michelle. She is a Pharmacist, a Health & Wellness Coach, and the founder of The Chia Lifestyle. The Chia Lifestyle is a Health and Wellness organisation that helps busy women to prioritise their wellbeing. Sheree-Ann works closely with her clients to build a resevoir of powerful techniques for optimum wellness, increasing energy levels and learning how to maintain a lifetime of healthy habits. She focuses on 5 main areas: Sleep, Hydration, Movement, Nutrition and Mindset.
This episode explores Sheree-Ann's pharmacy journey from when she started Pharmacy School in Jamaica. She was faced with several obstacles during this time:
- working whilst studying to pay for her degree
- failing one exam over one question and needing to re-take her entire school year again
- anxiety/panic attacks triggered by all the stress in her life at the time
- nearly being abducted on her way from school, and
- family separation at home.
HOWEVER, despite all of these obstacles, Sheree-Ann believed in herself and utilised this faith to push forward and turn any negative experience into a positive one! Her journey into pharmacy leads her to the UK where she lives today. I admire her ability to step outside of her comfort zone and take risks with absolute faith that things will work out.
Majority of her pharmacy career has been spent in the pharmaceutical industry as a sales representative for multiple large companies such as Astra Zeneca and GSK. She talks in depth about the variety of transferrable skills she has developed in these roles and how they have led her to where she is today.
