023 Martin Eguridu

Martin Eguridu is a passionate, positive, and motivated pharmacist with big dreams. He graduated from Medway School of Pharmacy in 2015 and started his pharmacy career as a community pharmacist with Lloyd's Pharmacy. He was promoted to Pharmacy Manager within one year of qualifying, an achievement I believe he definitely deserves! He is clearly passionate about his career and demonstrates great leadership qualities at such a young age. Martin provides us with insider tips and advice for achieving your professional goals. A great episode for pharmacy students and newly qualified pharmacists.

He has recently embarked on a new journey as a Primary Care Network Pharmacist which he has been enjoying thoroughly so far. I hope to record a second episode with him to find out how he transitioned into this role.

Martin gets involved with lots of learning opportunities outside of his work life and has gained valuable skills from these experiences. Below are some of the organisations he has been involved with:

  • Current Treasurer of the UKBPA (UK Black Pharmacist Association)

  • Advisor on Knife Crime and Youth Communication with Croydon Borough Police Think Tank

  • Student Ambassador and Treasurer of Pharmacy Student Association at Medway School of Pharmacy

  • Student Ambassador at NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellent)

  • Campain Volunteer at Diabetes UK
